While considering this week’s keyword search for Blog on Blog, I got thinking about the untimely death of Aaron Swartz

2012 in Review: Arts

January 4th, 2013 | by Jerry Gabriel

It was Montreal’s year to shine as this year as we had another momentous year in the art scene. Whether

Blog on Blog: That 80s Blog

December 11th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

Maybe it’s nostalgia. Maybe it’s just the thought of Alf’s face that makes me light up with glee. But when I look up eighties pop culture on the internet I can't help but feel like I belong, and it’s not just because it reminds me of my early childhood

November 27th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

Now that Movember is coming to an end, it's time to recap all the really interesting and off beat blogs about what happens when men attempt to grow out their facial hair. Preview: Montreal Expozine 2012

November 17th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

Print is not dead. The Montreal Exopozine is just one example of how print culture is flourishing, but sort of becoming a niche. It's unique and independent, but that’s not a bad thing. And while you probably don’t need any comic relief during this very strange campaign season, there are plenty of funny blogs dedicated to this election

Blog on Blog X- Ray Visions of Comic Books

September 26th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

With the Comicon caravan passing through Montreal last weekend, I started thinking about the best comic book blogs around. If these are an introduction into the comic book world, then prepare to have your mind blown with high amounts of gamma radiation

Wölfcästle EP: The Analysis

September 13th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

I have had a few encounters with Wölfcästle, and for the most part, they have been positive, amicable experiences involving very few broken bottles and intoxicated threats. But the saying is as true today as it ever was; what happens at a Wölfcästle concert, stays at a Wölfcästle concert

Fattal Loft’s Uncertain Future

September 6th, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

By the muddy banks of the train tracks there is a loft the locals call Death House. A venue used by punks and many others in the underground scene to express anger, confusion and rage at social inequalities and lack of justice in the system

Blog on Blog: Dead Malls

August 23rd, 2012 | by Jerry Gabriel

Across North America a new trend is delving into the massive failure of capitalistic projects in the age of austerity and may in fact represent, to a larger extent, the downfall of the American Empire... I am of course speaking about the ubiquity of vacant malls and the many blogs dedicated to them
